Where Creativity Meets Industrial Precision

Luxury packaging lives at the intersection of art and engineering. Every decorated bottle must satisfy a designer's vision and survive the rigours of industrial production, shipping and consumer use. Achieving both requires a specific kind of expertise.

The Designer's Ambition

Brand designers think in colour, texture and emotion. They envision bottles wrapped in painterly gradients, photographic landscapes or typographic compositions. These ideas are born on screens and printed proofs. The challenge is translating them faithfully onto a curved glass surface — at speed, at scale and with zero defects.

The Engineer's Discipline

Industrial decoration demands repeatability. Every bottle in a run of ten thousand must match the approved sample. Colour consistency, registration accuracy and adhesion strength are measured and controlled. At ATIU, ISO 9001 processes govern every stage from pre-press to final quality check.

Sublimation as the Bridge

Digital sublimation bridges creative ambition and industrial discipline. The digital workflow preserves the designer's original file — no simplification for plates or screens. The thermal transfer process delivers consistent results across the entire run. Photographic quality meets manufacturing precision on every perfume bottle, flacon, spirits bottle and candle jar.

Collaboration with Glass Suppliers

Precision also depends on the substrate. ATIU works closely with glassmakers like Verescence, Bormioli Luigi and Saverglass to understand each bottle's geometry, surface finish and thermal behaviour. This collaboration ensures that decoration parameters are optimised for the specific glass — not applied generically.

From our two plants in Verona, ATIU delivers this balance daily for brands including groups such as Pernod Ricard, PUIG and LVMH.

How does ATIU ensure colour consistency across large production runs?

ATIU uses digital colour profiling and ISO 9001-certified quality processes. Every run is checked against the approved sample for colour accuracy, registration and adhesion. Digital sublimation inherently delivers higher consistency than plate-based methods.

Do designers need to simplify their artwork for sublimation?

No. Unlike screen printing, sublimation reproduces the original digital file without simplification. Gradients, photographic imagery and fine detail transfer accurately, giving designers full creative freedom.
