Custom Glass Decoration: Why the Bottle Is the Brand

A label says what is inside the bottle. Custom glass decoration says what the brand is. When the decoration is permanent, HD and covers 360 degrees of glass, the bottle stops being a container with packaging around it. It becomes the packaging.

Everything on the Bottle. Nothing Around It.

Brand story, visual identity, regulatory text, decorative detail — everything that traditionally requires a carton, a sleeve or a label can be printed directly onto the glass. Sublimation reproduces HD imagery, fine typography and colour gradients at resolutions comparable to offset print. The result: less secondary packaging, smaller shipping volumes, less waste at the point of sale. The bottle arrives on shelf ready. Nothing to unwrap. Nothing to discard.

Lighter Glass. Same Presence.

A fully decorated bottle no longer relies on the weight of thick glass to look premium — the design carries that perception. This opens the door to lighter glass formats without sacrificing shelf presence. Less glass per unit means lower raw material consumption, lower energy at the furnace and lower fuel costs in transport. Across large production runs, the savings in material and logistics are significant.

Impossible to Fake

Sublimation ink bonds permanently with the primer layer. It cannot be removed, overprinted or altered without leaving visible evidence. Scratch the surface: the original decoration shows through. Repaint over it: the underlying colour reappears. Print on top: the primer rejects the overprint. This inherent tamper resistance makes sublimated glass one of the strongest anti-counterfeiting tools available to premium brands — particularly in spirits, perfumery and premium food where grey-market diversion is a real commercial risk.

ATIU also integrates traceability systems that allow brands to track individual bottles across markets — identifying where and when products enter unauthorised distribution channels.

One Design System. Every Material.

ATIU decorates glass, aluminium, zamac and ceramic with the same sublimation process. A spirits brand can carry identical visual language from flagship bottle to miniature, from cap to candle jar — across different substrates, with the same colour fidelity. One design file. Consistent identity. No compromise between materials.

Change the Artwork. Not the Line.

No plates. No screens. No colour separations. A new artwork goes from approved file to production in days. Seasonal editions, regional variants, limited collaborations — all commercially viable because the cost of change is essentially zero. Update the file. Run the line.

What is the lead time for custom glass decoration with ATIU?

Lead time depends on design complexity and glass availability. Since sublimation requires no plates or screens, the decoration step is significantly faster than traditional methods. Typical projects move from approved artwork to finished bottles in weeks.

Can ATIU decorate both the bottle and the cap?

Yes. ATIU's sublimation process works on glass, aluminium, zamac and ceramic. This allows brands to decorate bottles and caps with a consistent design, creating a cohesive packaging system across different materials.
