Vinitaly Is in Verona. So Is Our Plant.

Every April, Vinitaly brings the global wine industry to Verona. Winemakers, brand directors and packaging managers arrive from across Europe, Asia and the Americas. What most of them don't know is that one of Italy's leading wine bottle decoration facilities is a few kilometres from Veronafiere — in the Zai industrial district, at Via Enrico Fermi.

That is ATIU. And if you are coming to Verona for Vinitaly 2026, we are worth 30 minutes of your schedule.

What Happens at the Plant

ATIU operates two production lines in Verona. The technology is digital sublimation — a plate-free, screen-free decoration process that applies HD artwork directly onto a primed glass surface. 4,000 bottles per hour. 1200 dpi. Full-canvas coverage, corner to corner, without labels and without adhesives.

When you visit, you see the complete cycle: glass arriving from Saverglass, Stoelzle and Vetreria Etrusca, primers applied, sublimation cells processing full-colour decoration in real time, finished bottles moving to inspection and packing. This is a working industrial facility, not a showroom. The difference is visible immediately.

Why Wine Professionals Come to See It

Most decoration suppliers show samples at exhibitions. Samples are useful. But seeing decoration at production scale changes the conversation. You understand what is achievable — and at what speed. You understand how a vineyard's harvest-year artwork, a terroir map or a heritage typography design translates across thousands of bottles without colour drift.

You also understand what to ask for when you brief a decoration supplier. That alone is worth the visit.

The Sustainability Case for Wine

Sublimation and sustainability are aligned by design. ATIU has been zero-net CO₂ since 2023 — independently verified. EcoVadis Committed. Pentawards Gold 2025 for Sustainability. The decorated glass bottle — sublimated, no adhesive label, no surface coating that disrupts recycling — remains fully compatible with standard glass recycling streams.

For wineries that communicate environmental commitment to consumers, this is a specification decision that matters.

Who Should Visit

Packaging managers specifying wine bottles for the 2026 or 2027 vintage. Brand directors planning premium or limited editions. Procurement teams evaluating Italian decoration partners. Winemakers looking for an alternative to traditional labels for export markets or prestige cuvées.

We work with independent estates and with groups including Pernod Ricard. The process is the same. The quality standard is the same.
