CrowdFundMe raises 5 mln for Atiu campaign

The crowdfunding campaign of Xolid srl, an innovative SME that owns the Atiu brand and specialises in eco-friendly glass decoration for packaging, on the CrowdFundMe portal was an unprecedented success. 5 million Euro in funds were collected, attracting resources from professional, institutional and retail investors. Xolid, founded by entrepreneurs Alessandro Volpato and Tito Trevisan and based in the Verona area, has developed a proprietary technology for decorating bottles or containers by sublimating glass, ceramic, aluminium and other hard materials. The system was fully developed in-house after about 10 years of research into materials and production processes.

The Atiu solution is specifically aimed at the Premium and Luxury segments, where packaging is an essential merchandising and brand communication tool. The capital raised by Xolid, which was assisted by advisor Banor sim, will be used to build a brand-new production line and increase production capacity by setting up a new factory to meet ever-growing demand. Through this strategy, the issuer expects to implement major cost reductions and earn higher margins. “The 5 million raised by Xolid shows that Equity Crowdfunding can be a significant tool to facilitate capital raising for SMEs,”
