Press Review · Company · Awards

Four years of ATIU, as told by everyone else.

A short press review: the capital increase that built the Verona plant, and the awards that followed it onto the shelf.

In July 2022, the Italian financial press wrote about a glass-decoration company most readers had never heard of. By 2025, the packaging press was writing about its bottles instead.

This is a short review of what was published along the way, with links to the original sources.

July 2022 — €5 million for a new plant in Verona

On 28 July 2022, Milano Finanza reported that ATIU Srl had finalised a €5 million capital increase, dedicated entirely to the construction of a new production plant in Verona and to strengthening the organisation. Dealflower covered the same operation, noting the goal: taking a proprietary decoration technology — the result of more than a decade of R&D — from refined perfumery volumes to industrial scale.

Banor SIM acted as exclusive financial advisor to the operation, a collaboration later featured in Verona’s daily L’Arena. The plant the round financed is the one running today: the next-generation sublimation line, up to 4,000 bottles per hour, and a capacity of 30 million pieces a year per plant.

August 2022 — The names behind the round

Three weeks later the business press returned to the story, this time for the cap table. As Milano Finanza and Dealflower reported, the round was led by Luca Pretto (Pasubio Spa) and brought together investors from some of Italy’s best-known entrepreneurial families — among them LMDV and Matteo Lunelli (Ferrari Trento), each with a reported 3.13% of the capital. Verona’s local press took note as well.

Investors known for eyewear, sparkling wine and leather chose a company that decorates glass. The common thread is the one ATIU cares about: made-in-Italy manufacturing that scales without losing craft.

January 2024 — Canne Bleue in Formes de Luxe

The first major product coverage arrived with Rhum Clément’s Canne Bleue 2023 — a triptych of sea, land and air designed by Maison Linea, with glass by Saverglass and full-body decoration by ATIU. Formes de Luxe dedicated a feature to the project in January 2024, walking through how the three artworks travel seamlessly around the bottle. The full story of the project is in our Canne Bleue 2023 case study.

2024–2025 — The awards season

Then the juries weighed in. In 2024, ATIU received a Pentawards Silver. In 2025 came Pentawards Gold in the Sustainability category for Centonze Ice Blue — a Sicilian majolica pattern rendered as a ceramic-effect surface on recyclable glass, no ceramic involved.

The same year, the Bvlgari Le Gemme Tygar limited edition created with Refik Anadol Studio won at the Formes de Luxe Awards 2025 (Fragrance & Cosmetics). The judges praised the execution — “matte and pearlescent effects and strong attention to detail”. That project has its own story too: Bvlgari × Refik Anadol.

In short

2022: the capital increase and the new Verona plant. 2024–2025: the bottles it produces, featured and awarded by the packaging press. The sources are all linked above — they say it better than we would.
